Gabriel Puccio

Gabriele Puccio, 72, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2020 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Reserve, Louisiana. Gabriele leaves behind his sister, Salvatrice “Savina” (Gary); his three sons Richard Brown (Gina), Gabriel Puccio (Colleen), and Christopher Puccio (Kimberly); stepson James Martin (Kristi); his six grandchildren Olivia, Riley, and Andrew Puccio, Luca Puccio, and Jason and Kelsey Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Baldassarre and Paolina Puccio. Born on April 23, 1948, Gabriele along with his sister, “Savina” and their parents, Badassarre and Paolina came over from Sicily in 1956. Gabriele learned how to speak English by listening to American music and watching movies. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970 in the Panama Canal zone. Gabriele was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia and had an extensive collection of celebrity pictures and autographs. It was not uncommon for Gabriele to follow the stars around after a show in order to get an autograph from them on anything ranging from pictures, shirts, records, to a guitar. By the time he was done, Gabriele was on a first name basis with most of the stars. His love of music and movies was always an important part of his life as he enjoyed attending concerts and starring in commercials and a handful of movies. Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
