Frances Carr Lally, known as Fee, entered her eternal rest in Heaven on Monday, December 14, 2020. She was greeted by her Lord and Savior, Jesus, and loved ones preceding her in death; Edward W. Carr III and Emma C. Doussan, parents; Ron Lally, Jr., son; and Dennis and Larry Carr, brothers.
Frances was born on July 4, 1940, the third of fifteen children, in New Orleans, LA. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Eric) Galeas-Daigle and Patricia Lally; her daughter-in-law, Vilma Lally; grandchildren Brittany, Brenden, David, Gavin, Brandon, Bryson, Breanna, Amanda and Marissa; great grandchildren Madisyn and Leightyn; siblings Madelyn Carr Frosch, Carolyn Carr Boe, Edward (Annette) Carr, Mary Jane (Jack) Verwoerdt, Judy (Sam) Sketteno, Robert (Roberta) Carr, Donald Carr, Loi (Robert) Koller, Tien (Stanley) Necaise, Kawin (Davy) Richard, Deci (William) Morgan, Yundrela (Delos) Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends, Joan, Joyce, Julie, Irene, Mariam, Renee and many more.
Frances was a dedicated cafeteria worker for 23 years at Terrytown Elementary School and spent 10 years working in day care. However, retirement gave her the freedom to spend more time with family and friends.
Inspired by her Christian faith, Frances sought the Lord and His Word, through which she received courage, love and wisdom to overcome challenges in her life. She was timid yet bold at the same time and embodied her faith by always sacrificially helping others and giving of her time. Her family and friends were everything to her and she loved spending time with them, whether it was playing games, watching old movies, gardening, crabbing, camping or traveling. One of her most treasured loves was Elvis and she truly enjoyed visiting Graceland.
Frances was a hard worker with a contagious laugh and a spirited enthusiasm for life. She seldom complained of pain until cancer made her suffer at the end. However, she loved her Bible, Church, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus, and we all know that she is at peace singing with God, the angels and her loved ones in Heaven.
Due to COVID, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
