Felix Robert Keating, a lifelong resident of the Lee Road community, will miss hunting season for the first time in 76 years. He died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, after very recently being diagnosed with cancer. Felix was a well-known bulldozer operator in western St. Tammany Parish who entertained everyone he met with his slow drawl and his quick wit. Mr. Keating was obsessed with deer hunting and good food. He was happiest on his tractor, enjoying the outdoors on an all-terrain vehicle, or target practicing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Klea Mae and Victor Keating; his infant son, Felix, Jr.; and the only thing he loved more than hunting, his childhood sweetheart and wife, Sharon Willette Keating. Felix is survived by his daughters, Julie Keating Francis and Jenay (Scott) Meyer. He is also survived by his sisters, Anita McAdams and Paulette (Bobby) Jenkins, and his brother, Terry (Pam) Keating. His grandchildren, Jolie Lewis, Jordan Lewis, Brady Meyer, and Holly Claire Meyer will miss their Paw Paw very much. Felix also leaves behind many relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd., Covington, LA 70435. Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment in Pilgrim Rest
