Evelyn Brown

Evelyn Carlisle Brown, age 80 years passed away peacefully at her home in Abita Springs, LA surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 3, 2014.  Beloved wife of the late Edward Henry “Red” Brown. Mother of Judith Brown Myers, Bonnie Brown Schultz and Patricia Brown Melancon. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sister of Carolyn Carlisle Jaeger.  Daughter of the late Milton Daniel Carlisle and Marion Smith Carlisle. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Abita Springs, LA for 20 years. Evelyn was a retired federal government employee, and volunteered at Lakeview Regional Medical Center for many years. She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420. Visitation from 9:30 AM until service time.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
