Ethel was a humble, joyful servant of God. She was in charge of many aspects of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults/Children(RCIA/RCIC) program and was one of the coordinators of the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel for St. Peter Parish in Covington. Over 30 years ago, she was one of the first Teresian Associates in the New Orleans Archdiocese. Since 2004, Ethel had been a definitively promised member in the Order of Carmel Discalced Seculars, Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit Community in Covington, LA. When she made her promise to the Community, she took the name St. Cecelia of the Angels, and for many years she was a formator in the Community. Ethel lived her faith in words, deeds, and actions throughout her life and, consequently, touched many people with her presence.
