Erma Dell Sanders Strickland

Erma Dell Sanders Strickland, a devoted wife and mother, passed away on February 27, 2025 at the age of 88.

Born in Ringgold, Louisiana, she spent most of her time taking care of her family and home. She loved to sew, cook and fish in her spare time. In later years, she traveled with her husband all across the United States, as well as parts of Mexico, before lastly residing in Kentwood, Louisiana.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Joe Strickland of 69 years, her son Bobby W. Strickland (Terri) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, daughter Debra S. Hunt (Russell) of Kentwood, Louisiana, her grandchildren, Nicole Hodges (Rodney) of Kentwood, Louisiana, Matthew Hunt (Hannah) of Kentwood, Louisiana, Eric Hunt (Megan) of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Ryan McNeil of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, her nine great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry W. and Aubrey Sanders, her four brothers, Dewey Sanders (Carmen), Rex Sanders (Cora), Oleine Sanders, Audis Sanders (Helen), her sisters, Syble Coulon (Harry), Adeen Polidori (Ott), Devona Brewer (Sonny). 

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435.
