“Betty’s most prized possessions in life were her two boys, Christian and Spencer (and all the other friends of her children that she took in and adopted). She made it her life’s mission to make the best memories with her boys (she traveled the world with them). Betty was in love with the beach and ocean, more times than not she could be found with the perfect tan and nice stiff martini, cooking food for the ones she loved. Betty was the best chef nobody knew about. She loved with all her heart or not at all, she didn’t waste a second, she did what she wanted to, how she wanted to, and when she wanted to. Betty was best known for her laugh. It was loud, infectious, and almost terrifying. When you heard it, it made you feel alive. May it echo through this world for eternity. Betty is preceded in death by her parents James Paul Tharp and Elizabeth Spencer Tharp. Betty is survived by her two sons Spencer Prechter and Christian Prechter (wife Cullen Latimer). Betty is also survived by her grandchildren James Porter Prechter and Everett Oteil Prechter.
