Elizabeth LeBlanc

Elizabeth (LIz) LeBlanc, 92, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. She was born in Houma, LA to the late Euclid and Alix Guidry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, infant son, John, and brothers, Joe and Jessie. Leaving behind to cherish her memories are her sister, Rose Mary (Joe), daughter, Ann (Robert), son, Gerard (Julie), five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Liz, as she was known to many, loved God, and attending service at New Orleans Bible Church in Metairie, LA and North Pointe Church of Christ in Covington, LA. She loved life, gardening, butterflies, and making and selling little girls dresses with the help of her friend, Evelyn. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews — they brought her a lot of joy. And we can’t forget how much she loved her little Jack Russell dog, Abby. Liz spent much of her life working as an accounting clerk until she retired from Gerhardt’s, Inc.

Her family would like to thank the wonderful, loving, and supportive staff of Restoration Senior Living/Memory Care in Covington, LA where Liz lived the last 3-½ years. Thanks also to Foundations Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. A special thanks to her “care” team of Carol, Ruth, Kathy, Melinda, Evelyn, and Berta to name a few of the many who brought great joy through their unselfish acts of love during the trials of COVID-19 and daily trials of living in Memory Care.

Visitation will be at 10 am. Immediately following visitation, service will be at 11 am with Pastor Tim Hines from North Pointe Church of Christ. Interment will be at Eternal Rest Cemetery, directly behind Bagnell Funeral Home
