Douglas was a native Louisianan, he was born and raised in the Tangipahoa area, later moving to Washington Parish, were he lived for over 40 years and raised his children. He was a very humble and resourceful person. He liked living a simple life, growing his own vegetables, which he was ready to share with anyone who came along. He loved to reminisce about the times from his fishing trips and events from his childhood. Douglas worked for many years as a laborer with LSU Ag, Westfarm’s, and Windmill nursery. He is survived by his 4 children, Jennifer Wallace (Teddy Morrow), Charlotte Morrow, Henry Wallace (Beth Landry), and Jessica Wallace. Ten grandchildren: Jacob Wallace, Amber Wallace, Samantha Landry, Kirsten Wallace, Tammy Wallace, Kenneth Wallace, Zachary Morrow, Jonathan Morrow, Christopher Morrow, Maranda Morrow, and eleven great-grandchildren: Ryan, Sarah, Mason, Adeline, Arilyn, Ariana, Oliva, Adrian, Raylan, Ariveah, Amari. Brothers: James and Otis. Sisters: Willie and Louise. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Jo Cox Wallace, brother, Hollis Wallace, and parents Archie and Mabel Wallace. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
