Dorothy Fay Crow

Dorothy Fay Hodges Crow passed away on February 14, 2025 at the age of 95. Faye was born on August 4, 1929 in Ida, Louisiana to Fannie Pearl Trant Hodges and Gordon Elbert Hodges. 

She married Thurman Andrew Crow on September 5, 1950 in Texarkana, TX. After their three sons were born in Vivian, they moved to Arroyo Grande, California where they resided for 17 years. In 1973, they relocated to Sun, Louisiana where they lived out their golden years. 

Throughout their married life, Fay and Thurman enjoyed traveling, spending time with their children, grandchildren, and a large group of family and friends. Fay was a founding member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Bush. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her three sons, Wayne Crow (Sandy) of Reno, NV, Michael Crow (Tomi) of Morrilton, AR and Royce Crow (Denise) of Sun.; 8 grandchildren, Kari Jordan (Ross), Brian Crow (Candi), Brandon Crow, Jessica Crow, Blaine Callender (Hadley), Ben Crow (Cara), Bryan Fuller, Scott Fuller; 12 great-grandchildren Evan and Noah Jordan, Zach Pachek and Graciella Wassner and Seth, Ali and Gina Crow, Starla Fowler, Elliott Barrios, Jackson Callender, Drew Crow and Baby Girl Crow coming in August. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lois Moore, her beloved husband, Thurman, and her two grandsons, Baby Boy Crow and Andrew Mitchell Crow. 

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 10 am until the service time of 12:00 pm at Bagnell Funeral Home in Covington. Interment will be at the First Baptist Church of Sun. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the New Beginnings Baptist Church.
