Doris Elizabeth Martin Jenkins Holden went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late William Harvey Jenkins by her first marriage, and Horace “Red” Holden by the second marriage. Mother of Clarence Jenkins, Doris Dyer and Marie Cuny; and the late Roger Dale Jenkins and step-daughter Joan Fay Spell. Survived by 20 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren and 7 Great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Emile Victor and Katherine “Katie” Martin, sisters Eleanor King, Bobbye Sullivan and Ida Martin. Mrs. Holden was a life long resident of St. Tammany Parish, and widely known for her work in Genealogy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 12:00 PM. Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Covington, LA.
