Dennis Joseph Saucier

Mandeville, Louisiana

On the 22nd day of May, 2024, DENNIS JOSEPH SAUCIER passed away in Mandeville, LA at the age of 78.  Dennis was born on October 17, 1945, in New Orleans, LA, to the late EDGAR ANTHONY SAUCIER, SR. and SHIRLEY SILVER SAUCIER.  In his early life, Dennis lived in New Orleans, Chalmette, and Meraux, LA.  After he retired, Dennis moved to Cape Coral, FL  and Covington, LA.

Dennis is survived by his wife, LINDA COUSTE RAGAS, his three children, TRACY ENGLISH (Kenny) ROBYN PAVUR (John), and CHRISTOPHER SAUCIER (Catherine), and four grandchildren, JAMES CHADWICK, LUKE, LANCE and LEAH PAVUR, and his step-children, MARC, JULIE, CHRISTOPHER and CORTNEY DANNER, and step-granddaughters, ALYSSA, MEGHAN, EMERSON and MILLER DANNER, his brother, EDGAR ANTHONY SAUCIER, JR. and his sister, EVELYN J SAUCIER PALMISANO.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, JEANNINE AVENEL SAUCIER, and his siblings, DANIEL J. SAUCIER and SHIRLEY A. SAUCIER HEARN.

He received his HVAC Technician certification from Delgado Community College in the early sixties.  Dennis was an accomplished HVAC service technician for over 50 years.  His employer, YORK Corporation, recognized his talents, and they often sent Dennis abroad and/or stateside to repair and/or troubleshoot industrial HVAC units. 

In his personal life, Dennis was a good and generous person, who prided himself on helping others.  His hobbies were fishing and boating.  Dennis may have left our lives, but he will never leave our hearts.  His caring nature, and his warm spirit enriched all of our lives.  Dennis’ kindness, generosity, and willingness to always be there for others has been a true inspiration to everyone who knew him.

Dennis’ Celebration of Life will be at Agape Christian Fellowship Church in Metairie, LA, 3810 Power Blvd. on Sunday, June 9 starting at 1:30 pm. His service will be officiated by Pastor Ronald Fruchtnicht.  All family and friends are invited to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Agape Christian Fellowship in memory of Dennis Saucier.

The family will schedule Dennis’ inurnment into the St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens at a later date.
