Dennis McDow, III

Dennis W. McDow, III of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the age of 69. Dennis was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late, Dennis Wayne McDow Jr. and Dorothy Heap McDow. Dennis was a Maritime Boat Captain and enjoyed traveling, cruising and cooking. Dennis was a very loving man and would give the shirt off  his back to help those around him.  He is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Ritter McDow, his children; Jennifer McDow, Angela Thomas-Maples (Glynn), Robert James Lambert, Jr. (Sharon) and Christi Lambert Rao (Thomas) as well as his grandchildren; Nicholas Reese Thomas, Kathleen Aileese Thomas, Cynthia Deneese Thomas, Sydney McGehee (Blake), Riley Dupont, Landry Dupont, Joey Claire Dupont, Robert James Lambert, III, and Christian Thomas Rao. Dennis is also survived by his siblings; Elaine Bulloch (Hezzie), Jane McNeill (Tom), Claire Strain (Al), Beverly Holliday (Steve), Barbara Pierpont (Lex), Mary Acquistapace (David), Sylvia McDow, Rose Anne McDow, Nancy Jourdan (Greg), Scott McDow and Glenn McDow (Pam). Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437, Covington, Louisiana 70435,  with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment to follow in the Barker McManus Cemetery.
