Denis Holzhauser

Denis L. Holzhauser II, age 62 years, died on Friday, March 4, 2016 in Slidell, LA. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. Born in New Orleans, LA. He is survived by his mother Nellie Lamarque and his late stepfather John C. Lamarque, wife Colleen Ann Tortorich, daughter Gretchen Ann Holzhauser, son-in-law Robert Edward Gerstner Jr., stepchildren Michael Wymer II and Colleen Leyendecker, step grandchildren David, John, and Samantha Leyendecker, sisters Karin Purdum and Tara H. Hahnebohm, nieces Adriane Bauer and Gabrielle A. Hahnebohm, nephew W. Julian Hahnebohm. He was a longtime horse trainer, golfer, hunter, fisherman and poker player. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The family suggests memorial donations can be made in Denis’ name to the Thoroughbred Charities of America.
