Dawn Blackwood

Dawn Marie Blackwood passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. She was 63 years old. Loving mother of Kenneth Benedict (Rachel).  Daughter of William Blackwood and Marilyn Treadaway (Eddie). Grandmother of Savannah Benedict, Kenneth Benedict Jr., Hunter Benedict, and Blake Benedict.  Sister of Terry Blackwood (Trudy), Debbie Blackwood, and the late Rhonda Blackwood. Also the Aunt to a niece and nephews. Dawn was a native of Louisiana and has been a resident of Jefferson Parish for the majority of her life. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Dawn was a lover of animals and especially her “fur babies”. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd, Covington, LA 70435, on Thursday morning, April 21, 2022 at 12:00. Visitation will be held that day 10:00 – 12:00.
