Daniel Jenkins

Daniel was born on January 20, 1953 and passed away on November 26, 2021 in his home. He was a lifelong resident of Covington, La. Danny retired from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office after serving for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey and Betty Spell Jenkins. He is survived by his siblings, Linda Mulkey (Gordon), David “Chuck” Jenkins (Mary), Scotty Jenkins (Cindy), and Sheila Delatte (Greg). He had two daughters, Rebecca Motichek and Amy Serigny (James, Jr.). He was affectionately known as “Pappy” to six grandchildren, his beloved Peyton Motichek, Kendall Wilson, Jr., and James, III, Jacob, Annmarie, and Daniel Serigny. Uncle Boone was a great cook and loved by all his nieces and nephews for his delicious cookies and treats. You could come by his house any time for one of many signature dishes, especially his homemade biscuits and mayhaw jelly or barbeque. Danny was kind and generous to everyone he met and always there for people that needed him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 am located at Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 La. 1081, Covington, LA 70435, with visitation starting at 9:00 am for family and 10:00 until service time.
