Daniel James Grzych

Daniel "Dan" James Grzych of Mandeville Louisiana passed away peacefully at his home on February 11, 2024 at the age of 76. Dan was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Stanley and Lydia Grzych in January of 1948.

Dan joins his parents, Stanley Grzych Sr., Lydia Grzych and his brother Stanley Grzych Jr. in heaven for all eternity and patiently awaits to be united with many dear friends and family whom he shared his life with.

Dan leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Noel Grzych, along with his sons Jason (Amanda) Grzych and Timothy (Ashley) Grzych, and his brother, Barry Grzych.  He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Josephine, Eleanor, William, Carter and Robin Grzych. 

Dan loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and Mandeville.  He was an avid Saints fan, for which he was a season ticket holder for over 50 years. He also enjoyed fishing, bike riding and camping with his family.

He graduated from Fortier High School in Uptown New Orleans and received a degree in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University. He enlisted into the United States Air Force where he flew helicopters for Air Rescue. Dan then worked for U.S. Customs for 27 years before his retirement.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at St. Timothy Methodist Church 335 Asbury Dr. Mandeville, Louisiana. A visitation period will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Military Honors presentation.  Reception to follow the service.
