Dahl Dayne Dozier

Dahl Dayne Dozier exchanged his tattered earth suit for a robe of glory on December 16, 2024 at the age of 75. He was at home surrounded by his family.

Dahl lived in Harahan for the first half of his life, and on the Northshore for the second half. He and his brothers were taught the ironwork trade by their father. Dahl worked with his brother Darrell at North Shore Iron Works in Mandeville for many years. He enjoyed gardening, raising rabbits and goats, splitting firewood, and fishing. Most of all he loved being with his family- discussing the Sunday sermon around the big table, shooting pool, playing poker, or cheating at board games while trying not to laugh. In 1983 he was radically saved by the power of the Holy Spirit. If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. He told everyone he met about the hope found in Jesus. He wanted them to know about a new life through forgiveness and salvation. Loving people is what he did best.

Dahl is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Kate; daughter Dayna Borelly (Carlos); 9 grandchildren Caleb (Marlise), Levi, Silas, Anagrace, Esperanza, Salomé, Enoch, Naomi, and Beulah Borelly; 3 great-grandchildren Judah, Selah, and Noah Borelly. Survived by his siblings Darrell, Danny, Susan, Melanie, and Max Dozier. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Juanita Dozier; and siblings Brenda Hinrichs, Larry, Mical, and Jed Dozier. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration service on Friday December 20, at Living Word Church, 26214 Ronald Reagan Hwy (US 190), Lacombe, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 and the service at 12:30. A reception will follow.
