Clyde Joseph Dutruch passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 31, 2024. He was born on February 21,1938 to Frank Sr. and Bertha Dutruch and was a lifelong resident of Bush, Louisiana. He was 86 years old.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Sr, mother Bertha, Daughter Pamela and siblings Elaine, Frank Jr., Linda and granddaughter Kristen.
He is survived by his loving wife Catherine, sister Esther, children Paul (Linda), Rene (Jerry), Cassandra and Chris (Julie) along with 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Clyde was a master woodworker, sign maker and furniture builder. He was a gifted musician who enjoyed singing, playing the bass guitar, lead guitar, harmonica and piano. He enjoyed gardening and birdwatching. His greatest passions in life were worshipping God and spending time with his family.
His kind and gentle heart touched everyone he came in contact with, and his quiet strength and wisdom was a great influence to all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend the services at Sharp's Chapel Church of God 22191 Sharp Chapel Road, Bush, LA on September 4, 2024 at 11 am. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am before the service. Internment will immediately follow the service at Sharp's Chapel Cemetery.
