Clarence Price Newcomb, age 89 years passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017. Mr. Newcomb was a two time veteran of the United States Navy serving in both World War II and the Korean Conflict He was a long time resident of Metairie, LA where he was employed by Shell Oil Company. After retiring, he and his beloved Sybil moved to Bush because it reminded him of his childhood home. He loved spending time with family and friends; loved the rolling hills of Virginia, music, photography, gardening, and delicious home cooked meals. He was so creative and loved making life more simple. One of his designs was a “multi task tanker truck driver tool” patented By Shell Oil Company. Mr. Newcomb is preceded in death by his parents Stella Peace Newcomb Jones and Clarence Price Newcomb, Sr.; and a brother John Howard Newcomb. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Sybil LeBlanc Newcomb; Children Mark Newcomb (Kathy), Dana Newcomb (Rhonda), Beth Becker (Kenny) and Wendy Summers (Asa); sisters Doris Newcomb Hebert, Koba Jones Hockaday, and Kenny Jones: grandchildren: Leo Bougeois, Kerri Newcomb, Melanie Donley, Kurt Newcomb, Christopher Newcomb and great grandchildren; Britton Bueche, Adelynn Bueche, Kai Newcomb, Harrison Donley and Christian Donley. A celebration of his life will be held at his residence, 21504 Maryetta Rd, Bush, LA 70431 on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
