Christina Lee Martin

Christina Lee Martin, 46, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on February 11, 2024. Christina was born to Jack and Cheryl Martin on December 18, 1977, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Christina graduated with honors from Covington High School and went on to study Nursing at Southeastern Louisiana University. After graduating with a BSN and earning her RN, she started her first job at Ochsner as a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse, kickstarting a career that spanned over 20 years at Ochsner and St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Christina touched and saved the lives of thousands of babies.

Christina maintained her love of dance by helping with her daughter’s dance study both in the classroom and behind the scenes. Her most important role was as a loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Kailyn Elizabeth Howell. Christina was always full of pride for her daughter and was never short a new picture of Kailyn.

Christina is survived by her mother Cheryl Martin, her father Jack Martin (Connie), her sisters Natalie Gill and Lindsay Martin (Meri), her aunt Pam Macke (Gary), and her uncle Douglas Hileman (Janie).

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of  Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435.

 All are encouraged to wear their Disney gear to celebrate Christina.
