Charlyn Hager

Charlyn L. Hager passed away August 4, 2021 at the age of 69. She was born on June 7, 1952 in Vancouver, Washington to Don Dean and Helen Dean.

Don’s career took him and his family all over the world living in several places throughout Europe. During Charlyn’s college years she attended a University in Rolla, Missouri, and majored in Education. Charlyn eventually settled in Covington, Louisiana, calling it home for more than 20 years.

Charlyn was a beautiful home maker, worked at a local church, and was a dedicated business owner. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, thoughtfulness, and selflessness. Charlyn had a zest for life that was infectious to all who met her, and always greeted everyone with a smile. Always claimed to be “just peachy” when asked how she was. There was nothing Charlyn loved more than family, making friends, and the spirit of Christmas. She had a passion for gardening and an undeniable love for cookies. In the cookie of life, family and friends are the chocolate chips.

Charlyn was known as Mom to her family, Nana to her grandchildren, and Cupcake to her friends. Charlyn is survived by her daughter Cindy; her son David; son-in-law Michael; daughter-in-law Sarah; and her 3 grandchildren (Justin, Savannah, and Tyler).

No one spread more love in one lifetime. Charlyn will forever be in our hearts, and deeply missed.
