Cecelia "Celie" Kirchem Ginart Tanet went home to the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the age of 75.  She was born in New Orleans, was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish, and a current resident of Covington, LA.

Celie was preceded in death by her parents, George L. and Cecelia Morlet Kirchem; her brother, George L. Kirchem, Jr.; her son, John A. Ginart; her nephew, George L. Kirchem, III., her late husband, Michael C. Ginart; sister-in-law, Jeanne T. Weller (Bill) and brother-in-law, Father Arthur "Red" Ginart.

Celie is the beloved wife of Joseph F. Tanet; loving mother of Deborah Ginart Mormino (Bart), Michael C. Ginart, Jr. (Alice), and Julie Ginart (Steve); loving aunt of Dorothy R. Kirchem and Joseph P. Kirchem, Sr. (Missy); sister of Gaile Ajan and Judy Saragusa Gundel; proud grandmother of Delilah, Noah, Johnny, Jayne, Zeke, Dane, Joe Jr., and Gabi; and great grandmother of Jacob, Leah, Anna, Ella, Alex, and Ben. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celie was a devout Catholic and former parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Violet, LA and current parishioner of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Covington, LA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Road, Covington, LA on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be held in the chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday at church from 10:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery #3, New Orleans, LA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Benedict Altar Society at the address above.
