Cathleen Batiste

Cathleen Batiste, 71, passed away peacefully in her home on June 8, 2021. Cathleen was predeceased by her loving parents Emile Ducre and Laura Ducre. As well as birth parents Joseph Batiste and Beatrice Roux Batiste; and her siblings Marguerite Batiste, Elmo “AJ” Batiste, Anatole Batiste, Sr., and Phillip Batiste.

Cathleen was born May 2, 1950, she was raised, lived, and loved in Lacombe, LA her entire life. She graduated from Chata-Ima, was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and worked at Lacombe Nursing Home as a CNA. Cathleen loved storytelling, good cooking (especially her pork roast), bingo, and spending time with family.

Cathleen leaves to cherish her memory, siblings Samuel Ducre, and Mary Ann Baham (Landor); daughters Cathleen Michelle Batiste, Patricia Ann Batiste, and son Charles Robert Batiste; grandchildren Demetriace Laura Batiste, Treyna Batiste, Charles “Paw” Batiste, and Charleigh Reign Batiste; great-grandchildren, Kayla Batiste, Kyla Batiste, and Kaylee Batiste, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Per her wishes, the family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
