Carolyn York

Carolyn Looney York, 77, of Covington, Louisiana passed away on September 9, 2022. She was born in Newport, Arkansas on June 22, 1945 to the late Clarence Herbert and Hazel Allgood Looney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Herbert Ray Looney, Kathy Tharp, and Mary Sue Brown.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters Kellie Osbon (Carey) of Covington & Deana Pendley (Terry) of Brookhaven, MS; sisters Barbara Pigg, Brenda Penkunas, and Shirley Gould; grandchildren Hailey, Lindsey, and Braden Osbon and JT Pendley; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Carolyn is remembered as a unique and spirited woman. She was a true creative with artistic talents as often seen with her beloved scenic paintings and pottery. Owner of Heirloom Designs and Expert Alterations, she was a staple in her town as a seamstress. She adored her grandchildren, two cats, and all things outdoors including international travels with her sister, Barbara. Carolyn will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A private ceremony will be held for family members at a future date.
