Captain Charles B Smith, Jr.

Captain Charles "Smitty" B. Smith. Jr.  of Mandeville, Louisiana passed away on March 16, 2024 at the age of 75.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife Beth Craddock, his son Charles “Chuck” B. Smith, III, as well as his nieces Dawn Schooley Garza (Joey), Robbi Schooley and nephew Lance Schooley (Susan).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles B. Smith, Sr. and Myrtie Mae Parker, and his brother Arthur “Manny” L. Schooley, Jr.

Charles worked for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office as for 23 years working under, Patrick J. Canulette, he served as the Assistant Warden at the St. Tammany Parish Jail, then for Jack Strain for two years, where he then retired.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Friday March 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mandeville City Cemetery. Father Charles Benoit will officiate the services.
