On Sunday, February 23, 2020, Bradley Hugh Bienvenu passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Bradley was born on December 12, 1930 in St. Martinville, Louisiana. He was 89 years old. He joined the United States Air force at the age of 17. He always fondly reminisced about his experiences while enlisted. After the Air Force, Bradley started his career as a mechanical engineer. He was a true problem solver and was known to put his engineering skills to use in fixing problems. In 1961 he married Hazel Bateman Bienvenu. They were married 58 years. Bradley was preceded in death by his mother, Georgie Champagne Bienvenu; his father, Paul Francis Bienvenu; his siblings MaryAnn Bienvenu Ledbetter, Gene Francis Bienvenu, and Gary Paul Bienvenu. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Michelle Bienvenu. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Bateman Bienvenu; his two daughters, Tina Renee Bienvenu and Dawn Marie Bienvenu Gonzales (David); Grandchildren Angelle’Le Lyles and Ethan Jacob Gonzales, both of which were the apple of his eye. Brad loved to spend time on his boat and fish. He loved working in his yard and workshop that “had every tool you could ever need.” He was known for his humor and love of having fun. He always enjoyed having family and friends over. He loved his grandchildren immensely and always spoke highly of them and of how proud he was of them.
