Bobby Rogers

Brother Bobby Rogers joined his Lord in Heaven peacefully at the age of 74 on August 17, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was native of Covington, LA. His parents, the late Ado Rogers and Catherine Sharp Rogers and spent most of his life in Covington area. He loved spending time with his family and attending church services. Bobby was the beloved husband of Joyce Kuhn Rogers and was survived by sisters Yvonne Owens and Shirley Thibodaux.Father of Thomas J. Rogers and wife Dr. Peggiann, Tammy Sanderson and fiancé Jeffrey Graves, Stephanie Wills and husband David, Brandy Toney and husband Duane, and Jeremy Colley and wife Heather. He is survived by his grandchildren Jamie Kuhn, Kimberly Hyde, Crystal Jones, Masie Marks, Landon Colley, Graysen Wills, Baylee Rogers, Layken Rogers, Addison Colley, Ayden Colley, and great grandchildren Ashton Jones, Mike Jones, Maddox Marks, Sailor Colley, and Payton Hyde. He is preceded in death by three brothers Leon Rogers, Joe Rogers, and Evrette Rogers. He was also preceded by his beloved daughter Vicky Lynne Gassenberger and granddaughter Amy Denise Kuhn. Brother Bobby was very proud to be a veteran of the United States Army Reserve.. A funeral service will be held at New Life Pentecostal Church at 72151 Camillia Drive in Covington, La 70433.on Monday August 21, 2017 at 1:00pm, A visitation will be held from 5pm to 9pm on August 20, 2017, and Monday August 21, 2017 from 11am to 1pm. Interment will follow at the Fussell Cemetery, On Fussell Cemetery Rd, Covington, LA.
