Betty Vegas

Betty Jean Henderson Vegas, 80 years old, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2022 with her family by her side. A native of Shreveport, LA and resident of Folsom, LA for the past 22 years. Betty was preceded in death by her parents David K. Henderson and Effie J. Henderson. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Paul T. Vegas; two children: Joelle Boudreaux Graf
(Carl) and Trey Boudreaux (Michelle); as well as 5 grandchildren, Caroline Graf, Randolph Boudreaux IV, Hailey Boudreaux, Ayden Boudreaux, and Lynnzee Boudreaux; Sister, Gloria H. Emerson and Brother, James D. Henderson, along with 3 great grandchildren and many extended family and friends. Betty was born in Liberty, TX on January 21, 1942, and graduated from Louisiana Tech University. She worked for PHI for 25 years, where she met her husband, Paul. Betty was as smart as she was beautiful and kind. She had a love of swimming, reading, sewing, and gardening but none were as special as her love for Paul. Her life with Paul was always an adventure. They loved riding motorcycles together while seeing the world and making wonderful memories.
Betty was so special to so many people and I don’t think she ever realized the impact she had on others. She raised her children as she was, to be independent, work hard and love even harder. We love you and will miss you forever.

Family and friends are invited to attend a  Memorial Service on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
