Benjamin "Ben" Elias Clayton, III

Benjamin “Ben” Elias Clayton, III, age 87, of Mandeville, Louisiana passed away on February 28, 2024. 

He was a 1955 graduate of Warren Easton High School, New Orleans, Louisiana, and a 1960 graduate of Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After gradation he became an Insurance Agent for 37 years at Prudential Insurance Company. 

He loved spending time with his family, watching football and enjoyed history. 

Benjamin leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, his former wife Doris Irene Clayton, his children Benjamin Elias Clayton, IV (Lisa), Christopher Stuart Clayton (Diana), Gwendolyn Clayton Naquin (Robert) and Kimberly Clayton Hamlen (Kurt) and sister Mary Carlotta Bates (the late Dewitt). He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 

Benjamin is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Elias Clayton, Jr. and Carlotta Etheridge Clayton, as well as brother Richard Dantzler Clayton.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday March 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435. Burial to follow in the Eternal Rest Cemetery.
