Barbara Fay Pritchard Lavigne, 88 years old, of Madisonville, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She was born on September 9, 1933 to the late Van Pritchard, Sr. and Vercie Lloyd Pritchard of Bedico, Louisiana. She grew up in Bedico and after graduating from Ponchatoula High School, she met and married Wilson Lavigne of Bedico. They spent their entire adult lives raising their children in this community. Fay was a lifelong member of the Bedico Church of God from childhood till death. She was totally dedicated to the church and attended without fail as long as her health allowed. She spent her life devoted to her children, grandkids, and lastly her great grandkids. She was adored by one and all of all three generations, as well as countless friends and relatives. She will be missed by so many.
Fay is survived by her sons, Dale (Stacy), Danny (Pat) and her daughter Penny. Her grandchildren Stephanie Kell, her fiancé Matt Cooke; their children, Makenzie, Will and Meredith, her grandson Kyle, his wife Shaylene; their children, Ella, Riley and Cate, her granddaughter Rachel Alphonso, her husband Michael; their children, Roland and Wyatt, her granddaughter Danielle Lavigne; her children Easton and Emmalynne, her granddaughter, Marianne Desart; her children, Lydia and Silas, her granddaughter Gracie Smither, as well as her brother Van Pritchard, Jr. and sister Joyce Brewster, along with many other nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Vercie Pritchard, her husband Wilson, her sister Juanita Beauchamp, her son-in-law Stevie Matthews and her grandson Charlie Smither.
A very special thank you is forwarded to Stacy Fitzgerald and Tonya Griffin for the dedicated and loving care shown to our mother in her final days. You will never be forgotten for what you did.
Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Bedico Church of God 28336 LA-22 Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment to follow in the Mae Edwards Cemetery.
