Arthur Emile” Dookie” Delaune, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Covington, LA at the age of 77 with his girls with him on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Born in New Orleans, lived in Metairie and a resident of Covington, LA for the last 25 years. Beloved husband of Rose Mary Boscareno Delaune of 58 years. Father of Keith Delaune and Stephanie Delaune LeBouef. Grandfather of Samantha LeBouef and Francesca Laurent ( Mike). Great-grandfather of Braeden Michael Laurent and Makenzie Laurent. Preceded by his parents Leonide Perrer and Arthur Delaune, Sr., sisters Patricia Faucheux and Gayle Gerrets. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Graduate of De la Salle class of ’56. Past parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr and current parishioner of St. Benedict Catholic Church the last 25 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:00 PM at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Rd, Covington. Interment at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
