Arthur Arnold, Sr.

Arthur Herbert Arnold Sr., born Nov. 30, 1929 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday Jan 14, 2021.  He was a beloved husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.  He is preceded in death by his parents,  Alexander A. Arnold, Jr., and Camille Arnold Lafauci, his brother Al Arnold III, and his daughter Debra Arnold Michel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 yrs., Vivian Pizzitola Arnold, sons Arthur H. Arnold Jr(Nancy), Michael D. Arnold Sr.(Karen),Robin D. Arnold Sr.(Leslie), and his sister Mitzi Arnold Dooley. 10 Grandchildren, Angela, Karen, Lenny, Shelly, Art, Alyssa, Michael Jr., Melissa, Monica, Robin Jr. and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Art was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Folsom for the last 35 yrs.  He was a Sargent in the U.S. Army and a New Orleans police officer in the 50’s.  He worked at Rochetdyne  in the 60’s in California, and after moving back home, worked in construction until retirement.

Art was an avid cook and chef and was known as the ‘Traveling Chef” and had his own cookbook.  But Art was most known for organizing and running the ‘I CARE’ Thanksgiving dinner for senior citizens for 29 yrs.

Services will be held at Bagnell  funeral home in Covington, on Friday Jan 22.  Visitation 9:30 family, 10:00-12:00 friends, and Service at noon.  Internment following at the Veterans Cemetery in Slidell.
