Anthony Kern Bourgeois

Anthony ‘Tony’ Kern Bourgeois entered into eternal rest on October 24, 2023.  A native New Orleanian; Tony was born July 12, 1936.

Preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Kern and Anthony Mark Bourgeois, and sisters Kay Bourgeois Perez and Gretchen Bourgeois Tchiblakian.

Survived by his beloved daughter, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ M. Bourgeois (Steven), and two grandchildren.

‘Pop-O’ to his darling granddaughter, Lily Michele Murchison, and adored grandson, Cade Anthony Murchison.  Dearly remembered by Madeline Y. Bourgeois, Liz’s mother.  Uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, and cousin to many.

Proud member of ‘The Shepherds’, a charitable and family-oriented group formed between teen friends.

1956 graduate of Warren Easton HS.  Served in the U.S. Coast Guard and honorably discharged in 1958.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Church on November 11, 2023 beginning at 10:00am.  Funeral mass to follow at 11:00am. The burial will be private.
