Anita Toler Baudean, age 84, passed on April 5, 2016 after a 12 year struggle with Alzheimer’s. Beloved wife for 63 years to the late Joseph John Baudean. She is survived by her children; Lee Ann Rust, Mara Jan Kohlman, and Brian Baudean. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Jessica Rust, Jamie Kohlman, Libby Rust, Kristi Comeaux, Katie Coleman, and Michael Baudean as well as five great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings; Sharon Toler and James Virgil Toler Jr.  Originally born in Panama Canal Zone to James Virgil and Beatrice Hunter Toler. She moved around the world with her Navy family and settled in New Orleans.

She loved her family very much and enjoyed growing African Violets and Peperomias. She authored Tolers, Towlers, Toalers, Tolars, etc. a monograph on the Toler name and origins. Anita and Joseph traveled around south Louisiana Cajun dancing at dance halls and festivals. Memorial services will be held Saturday April 16, 2016 1:30 p.m. at the family residence. Visitation starting at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local Alzheimer’s foundation.
