Andrew Charles Sartalamacchia

Andrew (Andy) (Drew) Charles Sartalamacchia, died in an accident Tuesday morning July 16, 2024. Andy was born on August 10, 1988 and was the youngest of five sons. Age 35. A native of New Orleans, Andy grew up in Chalmette and was a resident of Folsom for the past 11 years. 

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Theresa Sartalamacchia, brothers Jerry, Jr., Neal, Eric and Adam Sartalamacchia. He is also survived by three nieces, Kailyn, Kiersten and Evie, one nephew, Luca, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Grandson of the late Almeda Lagarde and the late Andrew and Helen Cruz. 

Andy earned his Technical Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration from Northshore Technical Community College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was always willing to help anyone, especially the elderly and families with children, whenever they needed their A/C repaired even if he was called in the middle of the night. In addition to his A/C work, Andy also did home renovations, built decks and loved to repair and restore vehicles. He loved fishing and hunting Andy was deeply loved by his family. He never met a stranger who did not become a friend. He will be forever missed by all who knew him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, July 23 from 10 am - 12 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at noon in the Chapel of Bagnell and Son Funeral Home in Covington, LA located at 75212 Hwy 437 (Lee Road). Interment will follow German Cemetery, Hwy. 51, Kentwood, LA
