Andrea Maria Thornton was born August 9, 1947 in Monroe, Louisiana and departed of this earth July 21, 2017 at Forest Manor in Covington, Louisiana bound for glory.
Ms Thornton was a former resident of Alsatia, Louisiana, Dallas, Texas, and spent her glory years in Covington, Louisiana. Andrea is proceeded in death by her mother, Dorothy Catherine Osborne Thornton of Oakfield, Tennessee, her father, Perry Searcy Thornton of Morton, Mississippi and her eldest sister, Catherine Waynett Thornton Thompson of Brownsboro, Texas. She is survived by two sisters, Perrilyn Bell Thornton Moore, her husband Ronald, Karen Ann Thornton Everding and husband Jim of Tyler, Texas, one son Joseph Searcy Thornton Grieb, his husband Roland, granddaughter Delena Katharina Grieb of Folsom, Louisiana, and grandson Joseph Reid Smith of McComb, Mississippi, as well as many nieces and nephews, innumerable family and friends, and her loving roommate, Brenda King and dear friend Mary Seybold.
She will be honored with a memorial service at Forest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Covington,Louisiana, on Saturday, July 29 at 10 AM with the Most Reverand Jim Everding presiding. Per her request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
