Mrs. Anastasia Aridia Vinas, age 95, of Clute, TX, passed away May 31, 2014. She was born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic to the late Federico and Julia Sagredo - Simo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Rafael Aristides Vinas - Bonnelly.
For many years she enjoyed entertaining diplomats as the wife of the Consul General for the Dominican Republic in New Orleans. She was a very sought after and gifted clothier who enjoyed traveling the world, and who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Ralph and Linda Vinas of Lake Jackson, TX; Viena and Jerry Schexnayder, Sr. of Royersfort, PA, and Aridia Luisa and Roland LeBlanc of Zebulon, GA; grandchildren: Jerry Schexnayder, Jr. (Julie) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Laurie Kirkpatrick (Richard) of Oley, PA.; Ralph Scott Vinas (Carmen) of Breckenridge, CO.; Shane LeBlanc (Christy) of Griffin, GA.; Crista Childress (Danny) of Dacula, GA.; Christian Paul LeBlanc (Stephanie) of Cummings, GA.; Lori Ford (Darren) of Groves, TX.; and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Noon at Bagnell and Sons Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA. Visitation will begin from 10 a.m. until Noon. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W. 21st Street, Covington, LA.
