A resident of Franklinton went home to be with our lord and savior on Saturday March 20, 2021 at Tulane Medical Center. He was a carpenter for residential and commercial. Alonzo loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, working in his yard and enjoyed life to the fullest. His pet boxer ( Marley ) had a special place in his heart. He was a kind man, always willing to help anyone in need. He was loved by all and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his son Nathan McKenzie (Robin), two daughters, Rinda Guerrant (Mike), Angela Callender (Casey), his grandchildren, Brody and Logan McKenzie and Ethan and Wyatt Guerrant, Amber Killingsworth, Macey and Gage Thomas, Courtney and Chris Magee, Codie Stringer, as well as his great grandchildren, Waylon Thomas, Mason Killingsworth, Shelby, Jaylon and Justin Magee and Blade Stringer.  He also leaves behind his two sisters, Pauline  Eliseo Yrueguz (Eliseo), Eva  Vigil (Victor),  his brother, Joe McKenzie (Ellen)  and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Alonzo is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Nelleen McKenzie, his son, Wendall Stringer, his brothers, Oscar, Rene, Arthur, Gonzalo, Gilbert and Homer McKenzie, his sister, Minvera Cardona and his parents, Arthuro and Apolonia McKenzie.
