Alicia Castillo Alfaro

Alicia Margarita Castillo Alfaro, beloved mother and wife, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2022, at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington, La. She was 90 years old. Alicia was born in Laredo, TX on July 24, 1932, to Margarita and Efrain Castillo, Sr. She was educated at Harlandale High School in San Antonio, TX and from there went on to business school, also in San Antonio. Alicia worked in administrative roles in several different fields as well as managing the family video store, ZM Video (later LA Video), in Mandeville, LA until her retirement. Alicia immensely enjoyed entertaining and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren. Alicia is survived by her five children, Victor Orlando and Okcha Alfaro of Huntsville, AL; Carlos and Shelly Alfaro of Titusville, FL; Anabel and David Hundt of Covington, LA; Ricardo and Kathy Alfaro of Port St. Lucie, FL; Laura and Greg Swank of Covington, LA, and seven grandchildren, Jenifer, Victor Orlando Jr., Christina, Jonathan, Jaime, Kelsey, and Taylor. As well as seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Victor P. Alfaro, in 2016. We will all miss her bright smile, kind, caring words, and unwavering generosity.
