Alfred Schlumbrecht

Alfred Paul Schlumbrecht passed away October 14, 2017 at the age of 90. He is the son of the late Walter Schlumbrecht and Julia S. Busha. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a native of New Orleans. He resided in Covington for over 40 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Adrian “Marie” Ledet Schlumbrecht, who also passed away this year. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Walter and Melvin Schlumbrecht. He is survived by his five children, Paul J. Schlumbrecht (Sarah), Bruce E. Schlumbrecht, David A. Schlumbrecht, Ann S. Menesses (Larry), Paula J Schlumbrecht and close nephew Danny Schlumbrecht, three grandchildren, Jeffrey Schlumbrecht, Eric Menesses (Keri), Julie Schlumbrecht and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Ella Menesses.He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was a people person, who loved to joke and he will be sadly missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Lee Rd Covington, LA 70435. Visitation from 9:00AM until Service Time. Internment in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
