Alexander Tourelle

Alexander Simon “Butch” Tourelle, Jr. passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Covington, LA at the age of 67.
Alex is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Braud Tourelle; his son, Marcus Alexander Tourelle; his daughter-in-law, Tess Troia Tourelle; his grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Tourelle, Brenden Paul Tourelle and Alexander “Xander” Simon Tourelle, III.
Alex was born on February 21, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to Phyllis Dufrene Tourelle and Alexander Simon Tourelle, Sr. He graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1966 and attended Loyola University in New Orleans.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, December 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. followed by Mass at 5:00 p.m. at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435. Father John Tran will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alex's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Alex’s name to: St. Tammany Humane Society, 20384 Harrison Ave., Covington, LA 70433; The Food Bank, 840 North Columbia St., Covington, LA 70433; or Toys for Tots, c/o Covington Police Department, 609 North Columbia, St., Covington, LA. 70433. Interment will be private.
