Alana Marie Hardeman Mendoza, age 69, passed away peacefully at home, on the afternoon of Monday, April 22 nd , 2024. She was a native of Metairie, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA.
Alana retired from the Archdiocese of New Orleans with St. Louis Cemetery III, as an Office Manager for many years, helping others with the loss of their loved ones. She was a graduate of Grace King High School.
Her interests were the love of her life, her Husband, Gary and her loving son, Anthony; her family, her best friend, Dru Jenkins; and her cat, Emma.
Alana accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, as a young lady at Lakeside Baptist Church; and she enjoyed working with the ladies of the church for weddings, showers and other gatherings.
Alana is preceded in death by her parents, Alana Marie Tinney Hardeman and Ajae F. Hardeman, Sr.; her sister-in-law, Susan Roth Hardeman; her brothers-in-law, Paul Melancon, Tommy Mendoza II, Wayne Mendoza and Jules Mendoza.
She is survived by her devoted spouse of 27 years, Gary Charles Mendoza, Sr.; her son, Anthony Joseph Procchi, Jr. (Diane); her stepson, Gary Charles Mendoza, Jr. (Stephanie) and stepdaughter, Korie M. Sims (Kevin); her siblings, Ajae F. Hardeman, Jr. (Susan), Deborah H. Lachney (Glenn), Linda H. Melancon (Paul), and Clifford G. Hardeman (Crystal); her sister-in-law, Brenda M. Bellow (Chris); her brothers-in-law,
Tommy Mendoza, II (Judy), Wayne Mendoza (Pat), Jules Mendoza, Charles Mendoza (Peggy) and Ray Mendoza (Robin); her nephews, Bradley Hardeman, Michael Hardeman, Tommy Mendoza III, Troy Mendoza, Stephen Mendoza, Justin Mendoza, Ray Mendoza, Jr., Brian Mendoza, Chris Bellow, Jr., and Faustin Bellow; her nieces, Judy L. Rockwell, Tammy M. Senetz, Stacy Mendoza and Tiffany B. Seale; her grandchildren, Riley Mendoza, Reese Mendoza, River Sims, and Lyla Sims; and numerous great nephews and great nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2 nd , 2024, at The Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531, 228-388-6668. They request that you arrive at the entrance by 09:45 a.m. sharp, and we will be directed to the Pavilion.
