Donna Williams

On Saturday, June 27, 2015, Donna Roney Williams, beloved wife, mother and servant of our LORD, died peacefully in her sleep after her brave battle with cancer.

Donna will be missed by her devoted husband, Howell Williams of Mandeville, LA; her loving children, Jennifer Weatherford of Austin, TX and Spencer Williams of Mandeville, LA; along with her grandchildren Samantha Sauerby, Tashi Smalls and Piper Smalls of Austin, TX; her stepchildren, Robin Whitney Williams (Fernie) and Granville Williams of Bentonville, AR; her step grandchildren, Lucy Grace Grove and Madison Lopez of Bentonville, AR; her sisters, Michele Chalker of Augusta, GA and Denise (Billy) Willford of Augusta, GA; her brother, Kevin (Sharlene) Roney of Brambleton, VA.  She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and dear friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, William (USA, Ret) and Bernita Roney, Fort Gordon, GA; her brother Michael Roney (USA, Ret), Loganville, GA.

Donna was a graduate of Coshocton High School in Coshocton, OH and Marietta College in Marietta, OH with a degree in accounting.  Always a tireless volunteer at Church of the King and Compassion That Compels, Donna served others the way she loved, with her whole heart.  She was a veteran member of many overseas missions focusing on the spiritual and physical needs of children worldwide.

Relatives and friends of Donna and her family are invited to attend her memorial service celebrating her life and legacy of love.  Please join us in the chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, Donna’s request was to have contributions made, in her remembrance, to the non-profit organization Compassion That Compels which tends to the needs of women who battle cancer.
